Thanks for sharing...they look like they're having so much fun!

On a musical note, Armstrong has an interesting way of achieving vibrato. I don't know that I've ever seen a trumpet player physically wiggle the horn's valves before- but clearly it works for him!

He was little less than self-taught, so he probably had a number of what more conventionally taught musicians would regard as bad habits. And for that matter, you would hardly call his singing voice beautiful, would you? And yet his "Summertime" duo with Ella Fitzgerald is absolutely and without discussion the greatest piece of jazz music I ever heard.

You'd have to hate music not to. MInd you, people can be weird. I just read someone (on a Catholic blog!) stating that Beethoven was an enemy of the Catholic Church and that his music is anti-Christian!
