How to look profoundly stupid

So I am sending a routine letter to a translation agency, offering my data for their database. So I am trying to look competent and professional. So I mistype and end up claiming that I live in "Lonond, UK". Then I correct that and send the e-mail along - only to notice that I had failed to enclose my CV.

Ouch! My husband did that a few weeks ago sending his resume somewhere.

Don't beat yourself up over it.
That's what the rest of us are here to do. ;)

I once wrote that I was 'hemale' and lived in 'Frodwroth' instead of Fort Worth. It has a nice Middle-Earth ring to it (ha), but on a job application it wasn't particularly effective.

In my defense, I was filling the application out while eating. But then again, I didn't get the job.

Maybe they'll look at your data instead of your typos... I hope.

Um, my CV is what you lot call my resume. Without it, the agency have no data to look at. Anyway, I immediately sent a revised version with the resume, CV, whatever. (You say tomayto and I say tomutto, you say potayto and I say potutto, tomayto potutto potayto tomutto, let's call the whole thing off!)

Embarrassing, but everybody has an off day once in a while. Besides, it's understood that applying for jobs is nerve wracking, which encourages mistakes. So long as the final resume is good, all should be well.
