Brain death
Jan. 3rd, 2010 11:11 amIf ever the Republicans get back into power in Washington DC, one of the first orders of business will be to explain to their closest and most powerful allies (Europe) why they spent the last two years calling them every name under the sun, from "oppression" to "dystopia". Oh, and a hint, my friends: suggestions that we should try the Republican model will go down like a cup of cold sick. As indeed they do among your public; which is why you all thump your chests and roar about your manly self-reliance while spending your time sending every bit of pork you can send to your favourite constituencies.

Date: 2010-01-08 12:06 am (UTC)As for right wing parties in Europe, their problem is that they kowtow to the social democratic and christian democratic parties or have a bad habit of saying nice things about the nazis. Also, they're hopelessly incompetent.

Well, your governments are dystopic to us. The worst offender has to be the UK with their CCTV cameras, cops walking the beat with smg's, and how one need some form of identification proving you are 18 or older in order to buy kitchen knives. And in any event, what would the European nations do, (assuming both America and Europe don't have bigger problems,) send a nasty letter? Besides we would be dealing with the political fallout of the many betrayals and slaps-in-the-face Obama has given our European allies, moreso than our comments. I just hope Poland, Finland, and Georgia are still around for us to make amends, when we return.

How about asking someone who actually lives in the UK - like, you know, me - what it is actually like, instead of believing some journalist who has an interest in the most crude and sensational misrepresentation?
