(For all those Europeans who are caught with their pants down in distant countries and whine about savage sentences or the death penalty.)

I've expressed the same sentiment, though not so well, to Americans traveling abroad, some of whom have run amiss of local and state authorities. Why people expect to be treated as at home while in foreign lands is beyond me.
