There are two things I mind: that Nick Park's subscription to the Oscars seems to have lapsed, and best supporting actor for someone from a Quentin Tarantino film. Otherwise, it seems to me that the right people got the right awards.

I really disliked 'Basterds' the first time I saw it.

A friend insisted I was upset because I thought it was going to be about the titular characters, who only take up about 1/3 of the screen time. So I watched it again and liked it even less.

Having said that, I understand why Waltz won; he took a badly bloated, utterly unbelievable and purely pretentious screenplay and made the movie mildly amusing.

I guess they were voting on a curve.
