Personally, I care little about privacy on the net, and even if I did, I think that mine is past praying for. However, a recent incident showed me, to my regret, that some people do and find it difficult or painful to be, for instance, exposed to correspondence from social contact sites.

If any of you feel like that, please let me know and I will take all necessary measures to protect your privacy.

It's easy to get complacent when you're online on a bunch of different sites, often using different user names, and assuming that they will never be connected. But if someone is really determined, it's possible to track down almost anyone's real identity and find the trail of breadcrumbs they've left around the Internet.

Well, my username is and has always been the initials of my name, and I have never made any effort to disguise who I am or to make it difficult for people to track me down. That is what I mean. If you feel differently, I will do my best to accommodate you. In your case, anyway, I barely know your nationality, let alone more private data.

Nah, I'm not terribly worried. I do try to keep my fan fiction identity separate from my real identity, but if everyone who knows me elsewhere became aware of my secret identity as a fan fiction author, I'd only suffer some mild embarrassment.
