Ed Balls, the worst man in Parliament after Evan Harris, has been re-elected. Even worse, John Bercow, the very image of moral and financial corruption, has survived, because the vote against him has been split between two rival candidates. This is as much as to say that graft and corruption are from henceforth no reason to throw a bum, even the bummest of the bums, out.
