A person I particularly liked has stopped and closed her Livejournal. And although I understand that she is having personal problems that go well beyond anything any of us could have done to her, I still feel I did not behave as well as she deserved. Well, camillofan, you'll be missed, that's all I can say. You'll be missed a lot.

fpb-- I always understand that your robust debating style is who you are, and that it's never personal. You just can't do things by halves.

Alas, neither can I; and the fact that no online hiatus I've ever announced has lasted more than a couple of days is what's prompted me to quit altogether this time. I need to insure that the time and energy are truly redirected.

LJ's not the only bridge I've burned, and I didn't completely burn it. After all, the account still stands (and, man, is hand-deleting an archive a chore!), so I can still read and comment on friends' posts (like this one). Take care!
