Gawd, that was disappointing

I'm afraid Capello is to blame. Suddenly he does not seem to know how to get the best from his players. I shall just hope that Italy does better.

I'm beginning to feel there is something wrong. Too many top nations have underperformed quite spectacularly - Italy, France, England, Spain. England's complete collapse in form from the confident and efficient performances of qualification has been shocking. I wonder whether there is something in all this talk of the constant shrieking of wuwuzelas distracting players?

I know! It feels jinxed!

... although the flouncing by the spoiled brats of what is laughingly called our "team" was several years in the making. I blame Zidane, and I blame Danone and all his other sponsors for not firing him after he lost us the last World Cup (and showed every kid in France that hitting someone is the answer.)

Well, someone does seem to be performing up to standard. This is the first time I have ever felt sorry for North Korea.
