My Christmas holidays

Saturday I leave for Rome, to stay with my family until the sixth of January. During this period I do not know how much access to the internet I will have, so I have no idea whether I will be posting or reading anything at all. I will try. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year. (Of course, if anyone wants to feel that I am gloating about a free extended holiday in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, eating Italian cuisine every day of the week, you may so feel.)

Seriously, one day it may be arranged. One of my dreams is to show a friend or friends around the Eternal (and utterly maddening) City...
Meanwhile, if I've got it right, you're from New England, right? Your part of the world is not short of beauties... enjoy them!

I am suitably jealous of you holiday plans, so I feel free to pick on you for holiday requests:
1. Drink a toast to all the happy people for the New Year
2. Say a prayer for the sad ones
3. Say a special prayer for God's will to be done for my friend R. and his family. (I know God is everywhere, but you'll be in Rome, so I figure it's like Express Mail)
