Not my best artwork ever. But...

...these are the only pictures of Debbie I have. I drew them from memory a couple of years after she dropped out from my sight, when I had decided to write a superhero story featuring her.

I like the person better than the superhero, (but I know from your stories they are one in the same). I'm glad she has a childlike face and smiles often. Happiness is contagious.

When one first meets her, one thinks: "What a nice person; a person who'll let yuo breathe." She is the incarnation of undemanding and really funny with it. It's only after a while that you notice the heroine underneath. (I could praise someone else too, but I won't.)

As for the "starlight" element, I always did see her as a kind of star. The shortest of the poems I wrote for her is just two lines long:

You steady point in unforgotten night;
Star, shining star, you light unmoved in darkness.
