Furious

LiveJournal will not let me publish my thoughts on DiaCon2011. "Internal server error 500", or whatever. I AM NOT HAPPY.

It's getting better. Couldn't post at all a few days ago. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal soon.

Let's hope so.

LJ has been under a massive Denial of Service attack, for the second time this year. Most of the fuss seems to have died down at this point, but they're still mopping up the aftermath and pages may not be loading correctly.

You may want to bookmark http://status.livejournal.org/, though actual status updates over there are fairly slow in coming and one is more likely to find the most up-to-date information about LJ's status on Dreamwidth these days.

Yes. Actually, it's not them I'm mad at, but at the villains doing the DOS; though it does seem to have something to do with LJ owners being Russian, and with Russian "business practices".

Others have said it: LJ suffered a DOS attack and a pretty big one at that. Today's the first day I've been able to log on at all normally in days ... almost a week. Not happy-making for sure.

Yes, and it seems things are going downhill again. If it's true that this is some sort of mafia attack, let me say that I hate the Russian way of doing business.
