Following a hint from Private Maladict, I keyed my name (Fabio) into the ffnet search engine. Depressing thought of the day: I only got authors' names - and they seem to have to do with that bodybuilder or whatever he is.

On the bright side, one of them - a 15-year-old who signs herself "fabioandtheduck" - is charming and recommended. Go read her stories, people. http://www.fanfiction.net/u/490880/

Ahh, but it's not such a common name. And it's not a girl's name - most OCs tend to be girls. One of the ones I got turned out to be okay - this is the one with the summary promising not to be a Mary Sue story. I checked it out, because those sort of summaries nearly ALWAYS indicate a Mary Sue. I only read the beginning, but it actually wasn't too bad. Obviously written by a young girl, but not badly written.
