Meanwhile statistics inform us that Italians are the most long-lived nation in the world, with an average life estimate of 76,1 years for men and 82,2 for women.

Actually, Italians are about the twelfth longest lived, and calling journalists whores just because they're doing something you don't like is offensive in so many ways. But assuming the sentiment you're trying to express is that journalists and politicians are sensationalist idiots, then yes. In so many ways.

Your figures are probably out of date - the ones I quote were published a couple of days ago.
The whores speak of are those who try to convince right-wing Americans that Europe is a shithole rather than a place whose living standards and security are higher than God's Country's, and those in Britain who feed them - especially the Daily Jail's; a newspaper which is taken the more as a fountain of truth the worse its record for lying gets.

I'd be happy to agree with you if you would provide me with a source. And while yes, those people are undoubtedly idiots, you still shouldn't call them whores. It's offensive. To sex workers. And has really bad sociological implications. Etc.

Look, call them whatever you want, but not whores. Or sluts, bitches, the like. It's not cool.

Well, you are an offence merchant, all right. I will use the word "whore" for what it means, as and when I please, and if that offends you you know what to do. Whoring, whether sexual or not, is bad. End of story.

As for my source, I hope you can read Italian. http://www.corriere.it/salute/11_dicembre_13/speranza-vita-stato-salute-rapporto_26479960-256d-11e1-97ba-d937a4e61a87.shtml

Google Translate, for what little it's worth, says "among the first in the world". And the specific numbers are less than those of other countries:

I read somewhere that the marchigiani have the longest life span in Italy. (Meglio un morto in casa che un marchigiano all'uscio...)

Americans have to be constantly reminded and reassured that they are the best and freest happiest and most prosperous people on earth. In Europe we find it silly, but they are still believers and proselytizers of a system, (of para-religious values), whereas we are cynical.

The French used to offer a faint-hearted alternative... and of course the Soviets a hard-hearted one, but both fell by the wayside, the former deconstructed and the latter imploded.

Now it's Islam and americanismo. Allah the Mad VS Mammon the Monster (heavyweight wrestlers).
