Do I have nice friends, or what?

This has been a demanding December in many ways, and I have been snowed under with demands. Not all of them have been unpleasant by any means - today I took my mother and my brother to see the once-in-a-lifetime Leonardo exhibition at the National Gallery - but it meant that I had to write off a few things. I could not send anyone cards, and I said so in this blog. I apologized and wished everyone the best.

And still some people sent ME cards. You know who you are. Thanks so much. (This is not meant to make anyone else feel bad. I'm the one who should feel bad. But it's lovely to know people who'll go that little extra step.)
