The BBC, or the world upside down

During the whole of Christmas Day, the second most important Christian holiday, the BBC TV broadcast nothing, so far as I can remember, of any religious significance. Today, New Year's Day, a very minor holiday indeed, they broadcast "The Big Sing" for "Songs of Praise", their regular weekly program of Christian hymns.
The BBC doesn't even make sense any more. Don't try to understand them, or you're apt to get a headache.

Date: 2012-01-01 02:12 pm (UTC)New Years Day I traditionally watch the Tournament of Roses Parade out of Pasadena (before abandoning the TV to the males in the family who wish to watch football), but today, we'll be in church when it is on. I feel a little guilty for feeling sad that I will be missing it. This is one of those rare times I wish I had a TiVo.
(One day, however, I will spend New Years Eve in Pasadena so I can see the New Years Day parade in person!)
