A few months ago, I suggested that there would be at least one serious attempt on Mr.Bush's life. I can see that I have been slow, but now I realize the point of his choice of running mate. It is to protect his life. If anyone kills him, they will be saddled with Cheney as President.

I just like to keep all possibilities in mind. And what is it that you find pessimistic - that there will be an attempt on Bush's life, or that it will succeed?

Neither. Well, except in a genera sort of "Killing people is bad, whatever you think of them" sense. More the thought of Cheney as President.

It's my theory that Cheney always has been president. Look at the cabinet - almost everyone is of the GHWB generation. And look at W - the man has trouble spelling Iraq.

W was on the ticket to "feel our pain" - no one believes Dick can feel pain. Which leads me to my other theory - Cheney died a long time ago, and currently exists as a head in a metal box in some deep bunker in Wyoming, directing his minions through telepathy. Think about it. "Republicans for Voldemort" isn't so funny anymore, is it? Watch out if the next candidates start sporting turbans!
