ABsolutely beyond belief. Libya's current government have arrested and kept under lock and key for 45 days A DELEGATION FROM THE INTERNATIONAL PENAL COURT OF THE HAGUE. Yes, the one that tried Charles Taylor and is trying Ratko Mladic. http://notizielibere.myblog.it/archive/2012/06/13/la-libia-arresta-la-corte-penale.html

This is what we in the West get for interfering in the civil violence there. The men directing NATO thought they could knock down a dictator (for Qaddafi assuredly was one!), get some nice photos of the West standing up for human rights, and then go home with everything hunky dory. Fools, the whole bunch of them.

Knocking down Qaddafi made perfect sense: he'd committed numerous acts of war against various Western Powers in the course of three and a half decades of his dictatorship.

Now, knocking down his successors makes sense. Will anyone have the guts to do it?

I'd stay, start bombing again, and assemble the invasion force: time for another regime change. The resultant suffering of the Libyan people would be richly-deserved, as they have spent most of the last four decades supporting international terrorism, and are still doing so.

The fact that there does not yet appear to be any serious sentiment for war against Libya, despite the fact that they have committed a direct act of war against the United Nations, and a fairly despicable one (I would guess that the delegation has diplomatic immunity) shows just how weak and meaningless is the UN itself.

Good Lord, I apologize for missing this post - A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. if you can still get in contact, please do, and I shall try to get together a coherent argument. Italians, because of colonial history and geographical position, are in a privileged position to get news from Lybia, and some Italian journalists have been doing sterling work.
