Oats day

You know, I never could see the point of porridge till this morning. On a brutally cold morning, a steaming hot plate of oats with sugar or salt as wished is a real, sensual pleasure.

I had oatmeal yesterday for the first time in ages, and I felt the same way. I am miserably sick right now, and it stayed down, so it was the right choice.

Or steel cut, which do take longer to cook but have a licious nutty flavor?

I'm thinking about trying actual unhusked groats - I have friends who swear by 'em.
