As Tony Blair was visiting a neighbourhood this morning, a schoolgirl who looked about fourteen jumped out of the crowd and kissed him right on the lips.

A FEMALE admirer threw herself at Tony Blair today and planted a kiss on his "baby lips" as the Prime Minister met people in Greater Manchester.

42-year-old Jean Peterson then draped her arms around Mr Blair and kissed him on the lips, to the delight of other onlookers in Wythenshawe.

As an embarrassed Mr Blair left, Miss Peterson swooned: "He's got lips like a baby, they're very soft."

The mother-of-three added: "He is lovely and it was so great to see him here. The crowd were making a lot of noise and I just wanted to kiss him.

"I don't know why I did it. It was just a friendly gesture I suppose.

"But he puckered his lips and I got to kiss him and everyone started cheering. I think he was a bit surprised but I'm sure he understands."

Mr Blair met Miss Peterson, who does charity work for Wesley House in Wythenshawe, as he visited community workers on Benchill Road this afternoon.
