You just are everything I would want a daughter, sister, or friend to be. To begin with, you are very pretty; not that that matters so much, but, to judge from your photograph, you have that animation, especially in the eyes, that counts for more than mere good looks. You work hard - look at your long journal entries even after you committed yourself to the hard graft of a medical course. You are witty without being insulting or flippant, you take others' views seriously even where you oppose them, you know what you do not know and do not pretend to have opinions where you have no knowledge to back them up. On the other hand, you take your own views seriously and defend them even where they might be unpopular; and when you set them out, it is in an articulated and nuanced manner. You always have in mind that views are not just views, but come with people attached to them, and you take the trouble to avoid being personally offensive even to ideological opponents. You are friendly without being submissive, and, at the right time, you can give a show of claws, but you do not go looking for trouble or keep grudges. You are altogether someone whom I am proud to have on my f-list.

I had a good look through your LJ and I think I can say you are a very fine person. You enjoy life, in spite of having suffered greatly most of your posts are about fun, positive, and constructive things. You are friendly, warm-hearted, sensible and sane, and if you think that these are lukewarm kinds of praise, they are not to me. You are articulate and lively and fun to read. And don't think I haven't noticed that you have been treating me like a friend, although you once asked a certain question and got an answer you cannot have liked. I hope we have a long friendship.
