Federer vs Murray, Melbourne, 2010
Jan. 31st, 2010 11:24 amI do not think I have ever seen a tennis match such as this. Murray in this form would have beaten anyone - anyone - but Federer; and although I don't like the Swiss much, nobody can deny that Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time.

Especially considering last year's Australian Open semifinal(Rafa/Verdasco five-setter) and final(two epic matches in the history of epic matches, totally), and Wimbledon final 2008(the greatest match in the history of tennis in my dictionary).

Date: 2010-01-31 12:25 pm (UTC)And as for Nadal's defeat, I can tell you that he wasn't playing his best tennis, but given the fact that he was returning after a prolonged break due to that annoying knee(grr!), you really can't expect him to be in top form. But against Federer, some way or the other, Nadal has an advantage. A huge one, seeing their match stats - 13-7 in favour of Rafa. Their matches are just a class apart from the rest. It's such a pleasure to watch that level of tennis, and when you see the rest, you just can't be that satisfied.
