I take that all-American values include prick-teasing, lesbianism, BDSM, and bigamy? (Moulton, the creator of Wonder Woman, convinced two women to live with him permanently. Date: 2010-07-06 04:23 pm (UTC)Personally I think the new design is tacky and makes her look like a modern mall rat/immature teenager, so I oppose it on those grounds, though the idea of a redesign I'm fine. Just wish they'd done a better job. Marvel did IMHO a swell job with Steve, and I think that would have been harder.
Speaking of, I'm highly amused that her redesign and the loss of overt Americanism in her costume is casuing more of a stir than Steve's redesign. I guess cause he's still in red, white and blue with some stars, but still it's kinda funny. If I were gonna make lunatic comparisons to comic character pushing the NWO or some such I'd have gone for Steve going from Captain America to .... world wide police cheif or whatever he is now.
