If you follow classical music news, you will notice that no American orchestra and very few soloists have been invited to European or other music festivals and such-like. That is contrary to precendent, and the reason is that American orchestras have got themselves a reputation as being bolshy, nitpicky barrack-room lawyers. My personal experience confirmed this reputation.

I have no opinion on the nature of Hell, except to suspect that it might be rather diverse - after all, so are the souls it holds. This meme is built on Dante's picture of Hell, which is among other things a very useful narrative device.
