The vagaries of inspiration

Right. So at present the only piece of work I am publishing - or rather, re-publishing - is ...if all the heroes lose?, here on my LJ. The first ten chapters of what looks like a very long chaptered fic are completed, and I really ought to start working on the rest. I have plans and a lot of half-finished chapters.

Instead of which I spent the whole of last Saturday writing the third chapter of another fic, The Quest for Cleo Malfoy. It just grew under my fingers, a whole lot of rather nice ideas of which none existed until I started writing (except for a vague feeling that I had to have Blaise Zabini, my protagonist, kill someone, to remind the readers that this is a dangerous young man). Only problem is, The Quest exists only on FA, and I will not publish anything on that site until September. And I cannot really break off publishing ...if all the heroes lose? here, only to deliver three chapters of another story altogether. And I still haven't started the next chapters.

Inspiration can be very stupid.

Start an LJ community to republish the Cleo series here and add to it. Yes, you won't get the traffic, but it will be safe until you can get back there in Sept.

How do I start a community? I am fairly ignorant in all things to do with managing LJ accounts.
