Weirdo

There is something wrong about Tom Cruise. A man in his forties should not look so much like a teen-ager.

surgery?

Or maybe he got Dick Clark to tell him his secrets?

Also, maybe it's a favor from Satan?

Well, you know more actors than I do. But I think that, even if it was a matter of surgery, at 40 I would much rather look like Cary Grant - distinguished and forceful - that rather a grinning teen car driver. (Not that I have the choice, but you know what I mean.) Do you remember that movie where Audrey Hepburn goes through a lot of mysteries and conspiracies, with Grant at the mysterious centre of it all? Every time I see it, I find myself thinking how exactly right it looks that this particular middle-aged man should end up getting a radiant young Hepburn. Whereas looking at Cruise with a girl old enough to be his daughter just made me feel as if I was looking at some sort of weird and rather nasty Peter Pan phenomenon.

I would've thought because the man's a whole five inches shorter than me that some creepy oompa loompa shit was going down. (Not that I have anything against short men: I just find Tom Cruise brings out the 'you won't get me lucky charms!' vibe in all of us.)

At any rate, hearing about Brooke Shields buying him an adult and child pass to 'War of the Worlds' heartened me greatly.

"Creepy oompa loompa shit"??
I do so love the way you put things...

I think I was quoting Penelope Cruz there. She couldn't give him all the cacao bean love he desired.

I never believed in that affair anyway. It was too convenient for both of them. He needed to get out from under the shadow of the collapse of his marriage to Nicole, and she could use the exposure - and, in fact, made full use of it to further her career in Hollywood. Ms.Cruz has shown a very shrewd eye for career moves thus far: Europe is full of pretty and moderately talented actresses who never make the leap to Hollywood that she did. It is like, do you believe for a second that Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz had serious feelings for each other? Just a career move, in both cases.

Or Demi and Ashton?

I always thought that by ending his marriage with Nicole he was jeopardising his reputation further: the matter of her being three months pregnant at the time didn't seem to bode too well for him.

I agree, he doesn't look natural. What's so wrong with looking your age, anyway? I personally think that lines add character to a face, and show what kind of person you are.
