And the typical reaction of a Jew-basher to a Jew protesting against Jew-bashing is "Don't lay that PC crap on me" or "you lack a sense of humour".

I just had this same unpleasant experience; not, of course, for the first time, but - and this is what is horrible - at the hands of a supposed friend. I took a screencap, just in case. privatemaladict seems to think that jokes about Catholics being prevented from breeding or hate talk about the Church amounts to protected speech, and that I should not have pointed out that such talk is bigoted and intolerant. Then she locked the post against me: the usual reaction of people who have no arguments.

This has been a long friendship as Internet friendships go, and I wish it did not have to end like this. But I will take that kind of shit from nobody. I do not accept it about Jews, I do not accept about blacks or Chinese, I do not even accept about Muslims (although I do not like Islam), AND I DO NOT SEE WHY ON EARTH I SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO TOLERATE IT WHEN IT IS AIMED AT ME.

Closing note to a painful episode

Anyone who expect themselves and their friends to indulge in anti-Catholic bigotry at any time in the future, spare yourselves the trouble and defriend me RIGHT NOW. Because no amount of emotional blackmail, moral equivalence or pressure of any other kind will keep me from calling anti-Catholic bigotry by its name. All anyone will manage is get me angry at them personally. (Instead of only at bigotry as such.)

Of course not. If any one turned up, our cleverness would be surely up to redefining it as left-wing - whatever it wanted to call itself, and whatever it was. And we shall call this linguistic cleverness "honest definition". After all, we know that left is tyranny and right is liberty. And who are they to pretend otherwise, in front of our mighty insight?

For anyone who did not understand, the above is tired sarcasm at the expense of a piece of nonsense with which I no longer want to waste time.
